Policing, Intelligence, Security, Human Rights, Organised Crimes
Hi! I am a doctoral researcher in Criminology at the University of Hull, funded by the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership. My work examines the relationship between intelligence, policing, organised crime, and human security, with particular expertise in human trafficking and institutional responses in Pakistan. Before beginning my PhD, I completed master’s degrees in Intelligence and Security Studies at the University of Salford and in Diplomacy and Strategic Studies in Pakistan. I have also taught and supervised postgraduate students as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton. My research brings together criminology and intelligence studies to explore how intelligence-led approaches can strengthen policing, accountability and the protection of vulnerable communities. I am particularly interested in intelligence-led policing, human trafficking, intelligence governance, gender and security, and the political economy of organised crime. Alongside my academic research, I contribute to conferences, policy discussions and public commentary on intelligence, security and human rights. My work has appeared in academic and policy-focused publications, and I am committed to making research accessible beyond universities.
